This school project requires turning a song into a Shakespearean sonnet, so I chose one of my favorites

Basically, this band will not change to a mainstream form of music, even though that would gain them a fatter paycheck.

A commonplace among thy sound

To gain riches one must conform

With populace, one flies ‘round

But lifelessness becometh thy norm

We shall not changeth thy ways

For in change becometh our fall

In new voices our days

Be of beige like drywall

For riches are but thy reward

Thy point lies whither? With no finesse

Thee gains thy fame, thy wage poured

Yet why no form? One must confess

So brightly gleams thy affluence

But with no flair? Thee lacks in sense
